Do you put sunscreen on before or after moisturizer?
Sunscreen goes on after moisturizer. Apply moisturizer first, let it absorb for a minute or two, then apply sunscreen as the final step before going outdoors. This order ensures both products work as intended and that sunscreen sits correctly on the skin to provide full protection.
Moisturizer works by hydrating the deeper layers of the skin, while sunscreen forms a protective layer on the surface. Applying sunscreen first and then moisturizer on top can dilute the sunscreen and reduce its effectiveness. For chemical sunscreens, applying them closest to the skin also allows the UV-absorbing ingredients to work more efficiently. If you are using a tinted moisturizer or BB cream, sunscreen still goes underneath.
