Yes, You Might Be Doing It Wrong
You applied SPF in the morning, felt proud… but then washed your face mid-day and forgot to reapply? You’re not protected anymore. Sunscreen sits on the surface—once removed, it’s gone.
Order Matters: Cleanse → Moisturize → Sunscreen
Always apply SPF as your last step in the skincare routine, after your moisturizer. Makeup goes on top. And reapply every 2–3 hours, especially if you sweat, towel off, or wash your face.
Heavy Products Can Break It
Oily serums or thick creams applied after sunscreen can dilute or break down your SPF layer. Always let sunscreen settle for a few minutes before layering anything else.
Don't Trust Your Moisturizer’s SPF Alone
A moisturizer with SPF 15 isn't enough in the Indian sun. You’d need to apply 7x more than you do for it to be effective. Use dedicated sunscreen with SPF 30+ for daily protection.
You wouldn’t wipe off your seatbelt halfway through a drive. Don’t wipe off your sunscreen either.
